*System II in detail. Easily installed on any surface (wood, steel, aluminum, plaster, masonry). System II uses a continuous, flexible magnetic strip attached to an aluminum frame. The frame holds the acrylic glazing in place with the use of a complete wraparound vinyl gasket as a thermal break between the frame and the acrylic glazing. The magnet is drawn to a steel framing piece which is attached to the window pocket. This creates an air-tight seal around the entire frame of the existing opening, thereby eliminating cold air infiltration. Due to the integrity of the magnetic seal, and the thermal characteristics of acrylic, the 'dead air'space created greatly reduces conductive heat loss.
