During the typically long spells of cold weather in our part of the country, inadequately insulated windows waste energy. They can, in fact, be responsible for up to half the heat loss in a structure of any size. They can also drive up the cost of expensive air conditioning when hot weather periods occur. The System II weather-tight seal. The magnetic interior energy panel reduces conductive heat loss and prevents the infiltration of cold air from outdoors. A magnetic strip on the panel's frame is the key to this insulating effectiveness. When a steel strip is attached to the frame, it attracts the magnetic strip and 'locks' the glazing in place to form a permanent, weather-tight seal. The sealing action is identical to that of a refrigerator door's magnetized rubber gasket.

Built to last. The frame is made of heavy-duty aluminum, which has important performance and appearance advantages over polymer plastic alternatives. A plastic frame tends to buckle with repeated use, while aluminum has superior, longer-life rigidity. This assures a proper fit, ease of installation and removal and also greatly minimizes the risk of glazing detaching from the frame assembly. Aluminum's trim good looks are unaffected by sunlight, yearly temperature variances and strong cleaning solutions. Use of crystal clear acrylic glazing gives the System II panel this advantage. Cellular acrylic glazing is non-yellowing, non-fogging, easy to clean and far more impact-resistant than glass.

Custom designed to fit any window dimension; it can be installed on any casement surface...wood, masonry, metal, plaster. Use with or without conventional storm windows. (In terms of reducing thermal conductivity by creating 'dead air' space, the System II panel makes a single-glazed window a better fuel saver than a double-glazed window...and adding the System II panel to a double-glazed window is more fuel-efficient than a triple-glazed window.) Panels are adaptable to sliders, hopper vents, awning-types, arched or fixed-sash types of window assemblies.
